okay. no more games from now on. promos will start in less than 6 weeks, and i am not halfway through my revision. i'm still thinking about taking physics tuition. soccer training has been tough but hopefully, training will stop by next week. pw left with wr. cannot wait for this waste-of-time subject to end. other than that, life has been a weekly routine. weekdays go to school per normal. weekends, will study at macdonalds. this week was great. found the most convenient route home, by taking 106 from outside jumbo foodcourt. mcs farewell is coming very soon and preparations are under progress. will be really looking forward to ac open house on the 8 sept, got soccer match between the ruggers and the soccer boys. the only depressing thing this week is probably, the tests which i'll most definitely flunk and of course man utd's draw in their first 2 matches. rabak rabak. how can like that? buy new players already, then draw. play like last season la sial. first few minutes already score. then rooney injured somemore. 1st game dah injured. macam knn seh. abeh nani main macam bodoh seh. cross lain kali betul-betul ah. abeh nak dribble pun macam takut-takut. you better make this season a good one man utd.

Ok this is my very first post after a very long time of not updating my blog. The reason for not updating is because i'm too busy or just plain lazy. And the reason why i'm updating now is because i'm damn free and i'm damn bored. Ok, so here are some pictures of what happened during the past few months.

Merdeka was a blast. All the breathing in of styrofoam dust and the removing of chairs and tables was definitely worth it. Even though i wasn't part of the cast, being able to transform the whole lt3 into a black box was definitely worth the experience. Working with Sani Hussein was also great. The best moments were actually every moment; during rehearsals, walking home together at night, and watching jangan pandang belakang late at night. Let's hope for a production that is as good, if not better than merdeka, next year.

Kampung Pelegong homestay was the bomb! It was a life-enriching experience living with kampung people who are so down to earth. Nek Anoi is person who will give essay length answers while Tok Abu is a man of a few words. I'm not gg to talk abt it here because you have to experience kampung life by yourself and i'm just lazy to share everything with you all. What do you expect? Aku Melayu ape..

And had a reunion with BPGHS peeps quite recently. Went to watch the national stadium closing ceremony and yeah it was exciting. Although Sg lost to Australia, Sg fought bravely and i think it was lucky that Australia scored the first goal. I can't wait for the new national stadium to be built and the next Asean cup to start. Most importantly I can't wait for the next big match that i will be watching with my kaki bolas. Yup soccer brings everyone together!

It is the only food, that i know of, which sounds so close to a designer brand name, and that is Prada. They must have thought that there must have been a mistake in the spelling and the correct name should be Roti Prada. It sure sounds like an expensive and intricate dish to do that only the wealthy ones eat them.

But they are in for the biggest shock of their life! Roti Prata is just a simple dish which consists of a pancake made from dough that is served with curry.

Everyone can afford a piece of Roti Prata as the price is nothing compared to Prada. However, quality wise, Roti Prata surely taste as good as wearing Prada goods, if not better. Thus from now on, I shall call Roti Prata... Roti Prada!

Making Roti Prada sure needs technique, skill and that little touch of sophistication.

The Malaysian Roti Canai is way different from Singapore's Roti Prada. Roti Chanai is 3 times bigger (sometimes exceeding the perimeters of the plate) than Roti Prada. But Roti Prada is 3 times as expensive as Roti Canai. Qualiity wise, both are similar. The curry served is different too. I prefer the one made in Singapore as it smells more fragrant and tastes...a little more healthy.

This brings back memories during lower sec life. I have to admit that i was quite mischievous at times, but so were the rest. I still remember the cliques that we had, separating the girls from the guys, and "IT" from everyone. Brazil LOST! finally.. never supported brazil during this tournament actually.. cos they had always been winning and winning in the previous world cups.. finally the time has come for them to start realising that they're not as good as last time, and maybe ronaldo should start losing some weight.. this world cup, brazil just lacks the umph in their attacks even with the likes of Ronaldinho, Kaka, Adriano and Ronaldo upfront.. but ronaldo has been pretty good for the past few games, but i believe he is able to perform better if he's fitter and not so heavy..

i should be studying for the physics test tomorrow.. but i thought i should spend a little time updating my blog.. ;) So today a record was made when class 4P2, had around 15 absentees, but eventually turned out to be 10 absentees as some of them came late.. lol.. so class was quiet, not like the usual.. it felt so empty, especially when joshua tan is not around providing us with his humorous comments. Wallace wasn't in school, the class smelt much better. And a lot fo other people who are not supposed to be in school came, so i guess April is also the month of illnesses.. Is it the air con? Passing the virus to everyone? Or is it just a coincedence? oh well, as long as i'm fine.. okay, so today, yi yao became the "teacher" during english lesson, and it's so funny i tell you.. i told him when there's yi yao, there's always something to laugh at.. not his jokes, but him! lol.. I really dig his distinctive actions and slutty+bitchy character.. lol.. no wonder his blog is called slutch(slut+bitch=slutch) lol.. i just learned this method of saying "whatever" from the master.. first, you stare at the victim and use your right hand, with all fingers pointed out and not apart, to tap your left shoulder.. Now tap your left shoulder by moving your hand across your chest.. this has to be done quickly yet with style, if not it won't work.. Then, with the flick of the wrist, you change the direction your hand is pointing to the opposite direction.. be sure not to injure your wrist while doing so.. Lastly, remember to roll your eyes and jerk your head several times while doing the whole hand movements.. oh and after that, say the magic word, "whatever!" with a bitchy "uh!" at the back.. have fun learning this technique.. i'm still trying to master this skill.. all in all, i think yi yao is a really great friend who never fails to make you laugh.. even if it's intended or not.. so those people who think that i'm crazy when i suddenly laugh in class, pls stop thinking so because i'm just laughing at yi yao.. ;)

So this is my first post for the month of April.. a lot of things happened in March.. Me getting HFMD, student leaders' investiture, sports heats, food feast with 4p2, sajak rehearsals etc. (in no chronological order)

Haven't been rendering my services to the Bethany for the past few weeks.. i think i've missed around 2 sessions.. Will be looking forward to the next sessions on tuesday and wednesday.. Gah.. Actually i don't see the point of this Bethany cip thingy.. Especially if it's raining and you can't bring the old folks outside.. You will have to stay indoors, and play bingo or laze around attempting to start a conversation with them, which only a minority of them who understands English. The last time i went there, i ended up playing chess with Sheedy since nobody knew how to play chess.. -_-" None of the old folks were talking to one another. They were all watching this Chinese drama on tv for so long that i wish i could just switch off the tv and breakdance in front of them to give them some form of entertainment instead..(despite the fact that i can't breakdance) Seriously man, i don't know how they can survive with such a monotonous life. Oh and the other day, we were playing bingo, it went on for like more than 2 hours.. -_-" And they will take some time to realize that they have actually won.. Can't blame them though.. I thought bingo was like their favourite past time, but i asked this resident, and he said that he hated it in some foreign language.. (Ongkey was the translator) I will never go to Bethany on Fridays again.

Student Leaders' Investiture went on quite smoothly. Thanks to the many rehearsals that we had and the cooperation of everyone. But i seriously think we shouldn't have gotten somebody as young as Miss Theresa Goh(the disabled national swimmer) to be our GOH. Her speech was kind of boring, showed pictures of her life. -_-" More of showing than explaining. Should at least tell us a story or experience that has got something to do with leadership. And i don't see any relation between her and the school. Should have gotten some ex student such as Mr Sim Wong Hu (mastermind behind creative) instead. (is his name spelt correctly?) Other than that, everything else was fine. I love the CCA council badge! From 4p2 there are 5 people involved in the investiture. 3 from cca council (me grace and yiyao), and 2 from councillors (weini and zulhafiz). Well, yiyao was the only one without the blazer. So sad.. =( But it was fun making you jealous though. lol.

Deklamasi Sajak NUS is finally over. The competition was yesterday and boy, we had a blast performing as well as watching others' performances. Didn't expect to win in the first place. We didn't really brainstormed on how we were going to perform. It was just too simple. It lacks creativity. Watched RI's and St Andrew's performances. Man, they were impressive. RI got runner up position and the latter is the champion. RI made use of ladders and their stunts can be considered pretty dangerous. Damn. I knew it. In the beginning i have always wanted somebody to fly. Must have some elements of danger in your performance to wow the audiences.Now i'm regretting it. Gah. On the other hand, St Andrews cracked up the whole theatre with their comical performance. And their sajak is about how to cook sambal goreng, when the theme is pancaindera (the 5 senses). How creative. I never would have thought of that. On the whole it was very cute, and entertaining. Very disappointed with our school. We did our best, but our best was just not good enough.

I've fully recovered from HFMD.. what a relieve.

The events coming up will be Band Competition, Sports Day, Mid Year Exams, Napha Test. (in no chronological order) I think i'll post up pictures from the food feast at fish n co.

i think i'm suffering from an illness/disease/infection/allergy.. both my hands itch got several red dots.. is it chicken pox? i'm not sure.. Furthermore, when my hands and especially my feet move, i will feel this, what you call, semut-semut.. that makes my every step hurts.. so irritating.. sports day so nearby.. o lvls so nearby.. why sec 4 then kena? why not sec 1,2 or 3? basket.. it is so weird.. never had anything like this.. went to the doctor today, but decided not to waste my time cos i had to wait for an hour before my turn.. anyway, i wouldn't want to skip school tomorrow as i will be going to the parliament session tomorrow!! so fun.. alah.. i'll see the doctor after that.. worse case scenario, me hands and feet get amputated only.. lol.. kidding..

anyway, the good news is that i bought my first stuff from ebay!! lol.. bought a nike polo tee that costs 20 bucks.. exactly the same as my green one, except it's dark blue.. very happy with the good bargain.. my first bid, my first successful one.. cos i was the only one.. :)

other than that, attended rashal's party on friday night.. to tell you the truth, the party was okayy i guess.. wasn't that bad.. rashal, happy 16th bdae! since i'm lazy to elaborate, i'll just post the pictures up!

sahibba results: we ended up getting the 3rd highest points amongst all the school
khidir got the 6th highest points for individual round
and I got the 2nd highest points for individual round!

what we got: $80 for the 3rd placing
$75 for getting 2nd place in the individual round

total amount i got: $75+($80/5)= $91
it is divided by 5 bcos zul was the reserve.. lol.. you're so lucky..

so anyway, what is sahibba? in case you don't know, it is basically malay scrabble.. we had to play 2 rounds and they are 4 people playing a game.. 2 will be from the same school.. so you must strategize when you play, but without the aid of communicating to one another by any means.. i paired up with sheedy, and khidir paired up with syazwani.. we went against clementi town sec while the other two went against kranji sec..

so first round, terror sia.. our plan was to just execute each word as fast as possible, so that the other school won't be able to form a word quickly.. so they had a lot of passes.. we cope all the double word score..

then 2nd round, wah.. sheedy got a lot of vowels, and i didn't have any.. basket.. then the other school managed to form several good words but didn't get the coloured spaces.. and we ended up getting them.. woo! all the rubbish words started to come out.. sheedy could have ended the game but i thought i could make another word.. but my word didn't exist, so the opponent had to end the game with additional 10 points.. Maybe we could have gotten 2nd if sheedy were to end the game.. aaah! my fault.. my apologies.. so anyway, here's a picture of the trophies.. ;)

On the 24th Jan, my sister and I decided to watch the backstreet boys concert.. Can you believe that? BSB! I may sound gay but who doesn't like their songs? So anyway, i was at mt room 3 busy playing sahibba when i received a call from my sister.. on the day of the concert itself.. so yeah it was a last minute thing.. the conversation went like this:

Kakak: Hello? Adik eh? Where are you now?

Me: In school.. (thought something bad happened)

Kakak: Wanna watch BSB concert or not?

Me: When?

Kakak: Later at 8..

Me: Today?! The tickets how?

Kakak: Only 80% sold.. Sure still have.. You go home first.. later we rush to lot 1 and get the tickets, have dinner then go Kallang..

Me: Okay! (happily rushes home with the thought that my sister was going to pay for my tickets since my bdae is very near)

But NOOOO! she didn't.. i had to use my savings from my hari raya collection.. basket.. now i'm broke.. but it was worth it la.. my first ever real concert.. bought the $70 tickets but ended up seating at the $95 seats.. the view was much better.. went to school the next day and found out that choon yik also went.. yes.. they are for me and not for you.. as the title says, i will be getting a free pizza tomorrow from rashal.. woo! actually, it's not really free.. cos i had to do something to earn that pizza.. ok, it goes like this.. 204 had the class reunion at sentosa the other day.. halfway through the day, it rained basket heavily.. so we had to move our things to a shelter.. the girls decided to go home and rashal forgot to bring home her lovely picnic mats.. and there were three of them.. drenched in rain, and heavy.. so the guys were just thinking of leaving them behind in sentosa.. lol.. but being homosapiens with care and concern, we decided to do rashal a huge favour by bringing the mats home.. not really ah.. we were forced to.. called rashal and told her abt the mats, we were still persistent to bring them home.. however after much persuasion and discussions, me and dexter had to bring them home.. with the pizza as a token of appreciation.. lol..i dunno whether dexter will be getting the pizza.. but i hope the pizza will be good.. specially made by rashal's mum.. woo!! i love her cooking..

so anyway, i'm participating in several events this year.. firstly, malay sahibba (scrabble) competition.. and deklamasi puisi at nus.. wish me luck.. must settle down and start mugging by my bdae.. 3rd feb.. will be sad.. cos that will probably be the last day before i can start joking ard again.. time to be serious faris! this is the o levels! so maybe you guys should leave me with some presents and then i can have the motivation to study.. i'm just thinking whether i should make a faris' bdae fund and pass it around the class.. lol.. then cope all the money.. nolah.. i shouldn't be the one doing that.. it's ok lah.. im not expecting anything for my bdae.. nothing big.. you don't have to go through so much trouble.. so yeah..

It has been 2 weeks into the new year and this is my second post. So, the event that happened just recently was the Shylock play. It was at the Black Box, Singapore Indoor Stadium. And i was disappointed because i couldn't really understand the whole story line. However, some of the jokes are funny. But still, i don't think it was worth the money. It was a one-man show and he kept on spitting saliva while speaking his lines. Eeew. What a pity to those who sat in front. So anyway, here are some of the photos which i took that night.

the middle row are pictures of people i don't know.. anyway, my favourite part of the whole orientation is the campfire.. get to unleash the party animal in you that has been caged all these years.. yeah! the O tshirt design is fantastic.. better than the rest of the years.. the orientation would go on smoothly, if not for the rain that stops and continues an hour later; repeating the cycle over and over again.. damn.. maybe that's because the world is just surviving on a thinner ozone layer compared to the past centuries.. So anyway, without these people, the orientation wouldn't be a success.. and they are irna, chu yi, the councillors, the ogls, scouts, girl guides, sjab, mr hisham and mr choo.. And there's this cute identical twins from 101.. Can't remember their names.. First of all, let's wish a happy new year to my fellow family members, friends, and loved ones. Let's leave 2005 and usher in the new year which hopefully will be blessed with goodness. 2006 will be an exciting year with major events taking place. In 3 months time, we'll be getting our Malay 'O'lvl results. In 6 months time, FIFA world cup will be taking place in Germany; and a few more months later, the dreaded 'O'lvl examinations. Anticipation will start to build up and everyone will begin to be selfish in their own ways to acquire as much knowledge as they could; or prevent others from doing so. It will be sad to wave some of our friends goodbye as they won't be joining us in 4P2. To James and Syamil, sayonara and good luck in everything you do. 2006 will not be a year to relax or play, not until the end of the 'O'lvls. Will be looking forward to that period of the year and my target points for the 'O'lvls will be 12 points or lower. Let's be realistic and hopefully it will come true. InsyaAllah.

So anyway, new year's eve was awesome! It was a day packed with hilarious events. I had a date with Isa to Queensway and Beach Road. First stop was queensway. I had to collect my specs that i just made last week. Basket. They said that i could collect them on Friday but they weren't even ready for collection.. so i had to go there again the next day. Anyway, we took the same bus with this two anime-looking girls. So weird! I don't see the wonders and beauty of anime. Anyway they were dressed in those japanese school uniform kinda thing. One of them had purple hair and the other baige. I think. So striking! Then each of them had an eye patch over one eye. WTF?! Is that the latest trend? Probably they will be attending some party. Hopefully, it's a costume party. lol.

Then, there's this ah beng around the age of 14; carrying 3 packets of cigarettes and a lighter! WTF?! Sitting like the typical ah beng as if his balls are like the size of two clenched fists. I bet they are only the size of his brain. lol. Hopefully, those packets are meant for his father. Most unlikely.

While walking there, a bird's dropping landed on Isa's head. How unlucky. It was definitely hilarious to watch cos it wasn't on me. It was like a yellowish-whitish goo. lol.

So yeah, after the collection of specs(now, i realised there's a chip at the edges of the sides and will be returning them today or tomorrow; basket!), we headed east to beach road and that's where we met this super funny mat at one of the bag shops. Isa was looking for his school bag; preferably deuter. So the conversation went something like this (it's all in malay, so sorry to all who can't understand):

Mat: Assalamualaikum bang. Tengah cari bag ape? Haversack ke sling bag?

Isa: Haversack.

Mat: Mari sini. Aku tunjuk kau deuter nyer collection.

Isa: (looks at every bag)

Mat: Kau nak beli bag jangan tengok dekat luar dia aje. Kau ingat beli bag mcm cari perempuan eh? Wah lawa aje mintak number. Cari perempuan pun kene tengok betul2. Mana tau ade calar kat mane2 matair lama dia tinggalkan? Kau pakai bag ni tengok comfortable ke tak. Kalau tak comfortable, nanti rugi, satu tahun aje tukar. Kau tengok dalam bag ade rosak ape2 tak.

Isa and me: (Laughs and start examining the bags.)

Mat: Korang ni secondary berape?

Me: Next year sec 4.

Mat: Korang hisap rokok? (haha.. wtf?!)

Me: Tak.
Isa: Sekali.

Mat: Bagus, jangan hisap rokok pun. Buang2 duit. (Wah! Wise words! lol.) Korang masuk uniform group?

Mat: Aku ni actually army instructor. Ade orang ni dia march terkangkang. Mana orang tak marah. Dia ingat bola dia tergantung besar sangat (clenches fists and puts them on his crotch) sampai tak leh diri straight eh? Aku dulu pun ada bastard jugak. Orang tu aku bulang dia "gimme 250 now and count loudly!" abeh bila dah 150 lebih, aku action tak dengar abeh suruh dia restart.

Isa and me: (Laughs and stop looking at the bags.)

Mat: Abeh bila diorang kene bersihkan bilik diorang, aku bastard ah lagi. Diorang dah bersih2kan cantik2, abeh aku hisap rokok selitkan atas cabinet. Abeh aku marah ah diorang. "Whose cigarette is this? I want you to clean your room again! Squeaky clean!

Somehow, the subject changed to girls.

Mat: Eh kau cuba bag ni, nanti aku nampak perempuan jambu, aku suruh dia tengok kau handsome ke tak dengan bag ni.

Isa: (nods head)

Mat: Sekarang eh perempuan main2kan lelaki tau. Nanti dia cakap, "Bang, tengok wayang lah.. bang, jom pergi beach..etc" Siape nanti yang keluarkan duit? Kau jugak. Jadi kalau kau nak ada matair, kau kena be careful. Atau kau jangan ada matair langsung. Lagi bagus, sebelum kau lanyak dia dulu sebelum kau buang dia. (Use them like tissue paper until every inch is used, then throw away) Hah. Biar kasi dia rasa.

Isa and me: (Laughs)

Mat: New year's eve ni ade banyak couple2 keluar. Abeh duduk bawak pokok tengok bulan. Abeh nanti perempuan dia cakap, "Bang, bulan terang sotong banyak eh naik?" Abeh laki dia cakap, "Naik sampai tak boleh turun" (referring to an erection..lol)

Haha. It was so hilarious. Very lazy to type out the rest. There's a lot more. In the end, Isa got the bag for 38 dollars. Original price $45. Then went to a cd shop and Isa and the owner exchanged magic tricks. I was shocked that there are quite a few magicians around in Spore. Then we ate and ran through the heavy rain to pray at Hajjah Fatimah.

Met up with my family and the rest of my uncles and aunties under my mom's side. Everyone was there. Had dinner at Selera Bonda, somewhere near masjid sultan. After dinner, decided to go to east coast but there were a lot of cars. So decided not to. We went to the airport instead! Had coffee there. Took ecp home and there was a jam because everyone is viewing the fireworks. so cool. The car should have a sun roof. Then can stand and dance to the thumping music of the car. Then everyone will start dancing and a party will begin on an expressway. lol. Very lazy to elaborate on the what happened. So yeah, Happy NEW YEAR!

a movie that you must watch.. in theatres nationwide 23rd december.. Zhang Ziyi looks so hot underneath the japanese robes and thick make up.. oh well, i think this is the first book that i managed to get hooked onto.. gotta watch the movie.. anyone wanna watch it with me? lol.. anyways, i think i'm a huge fan of the movie poster above.. i think i'm in looovee with it.. some people say it's scary.. looks like some pontianak.. wth.. let's just watch the movie.. =)

So, the show aired on channel 5 yesterday.. I still think manhunt is much better compared to this show; lesser bitchiness.. yeah lesser.. anyway, i think that some of the contestants in this season are shockingly disgusting.. How can they even qualify in the first place? But some of them are hot.. while some are not.. Let me give you some examples..

even tyra banks doesn't look pretty.. she only does when covered in make-up.. So yeah, i'm rooting for either of the two to win this competition.. Kyle or Ebony.. Do leave your comments for the last model.. lol..
